This ‘research house’ has the same characteristics as a tiny house and produces twice as much sustainable energy as needed. LTV SYSTEMS COMBINED WITH SUSTAINABLE HEAT GENERATORS

To heat this building, a heat pump was chosen in combination with an ice tank. The ice tank is located underground and energy is produced through the freezing and condensation method. When using a heat pump, LTV systems are essential due to the low temperature yields. Because of the large glass areas, a combination of wall heating and cooling ceilings was chosen.

ZERO WASTE POLICY

Because it is a ‘model home’ there was a zero-waste policy. Another feature of the Variotherm products that fits well with this wish. The systems are completely recyclable and production largely uses natural products.
